The Network Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary (HPB) service and MDT is located at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and has an expert multi-disciplinary team (MDT) that provides the latest treatments for all conditions, including cancers affecting the: liver, bile ducts, gallbladder and pancreas.
The role and purpose of the HPB CRG is to improve the experience and outcomes of cancer care for HPB patients in the Lancashire & South Cumbria footprint.
This involves consideration of strategies and plans for service improvement and service development across the patient pathway, incorporating all aspects of care at appropriate stages of the patient's journey. The aim is to achieve the best possible outcomes and best quality of life for all patients who use HPB cancer services within the Alliance.
Members of the CRG will be responsible for feeding back information/decisions from the CRG to their clinical and managerial colleagues.
