Accessible Information Standard (AIS)
The Accessible Information Standard aims to make sure NHS organisations are making health and social care information accessible. From 1 August 2016, all organisations that provide NHS care and/or publicly-funded adult social care are legally required to follow the Accessible Information Standard.
It sets out a specific, consistent approach to identifying, recording, flagging, sharing and meeting the information and communication support needs of anyone with a disability, impairment or sensory loss.
We regularly review our website to make sure it's accessible for everyone. More information about how we make sure it's accessible is within our accessibility statement.
